15 December, 2017 – Mississauga of New Credit First Nation – Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Hamilton Region launched a new collaborated initiative, a Food drive, with the help of Mississauga of New Credit First Nation. The collected food by both communities will be donated to Hagerville Food Bank. The Hagerville Food bank is usually short of food during this time of year and the food is used to help the Indigenous families through the winter and other times of the year. AMJ Hamilton will make an effort to collect food within the region/community and MNCFN will collect food within their community and they will both donate food to Hagerville Food Bank. This is the first time both communities are launching this new initiative.
