Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Vancouver, BC holds its first Friendship conference on the theme “Sharing Knowledge – Building Bridges” at Bait-un-Rahman Mosque.

Following dignitaries/learned speakers representing various Bands/organizations/colleges participated in the event:
After the Conference, A formal Friendship Agreement was signed between Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and Metro Vancouver Aboriginal Executive Council.


As a token of friendship, National President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Lal Khan Malik, made an announcement of establishment of 3 bursaries to be awarded annually to students of indigenous backgrounds pursuing post secondary education in metro Vancouver area.
Elder Kevin Barlow also announced that Metro Vancouver Aboriginal Executive Council will also match the bursaries in the same amount anually.
Dinner was served after the conclusion of the conference.
